My dad is on his way to an annual holiday gathering his friends hold. In preparation, he scanned and printed a picture of one of his buddies with an old girlfriend from probably 40 years ago; the guy had been asking about it. My dad grew up in a close-knit neighborhood in the city. Virtually all of his good friends are from there and he's known them 40-50+ years; the scant few that aren't are those brought in by the others.
